Robots will search the forest for pests and look out for our precious native species
Research Support
Te Ao Toiora supports postgraduate student research to assist with harvesting resources in rugged bush. Our research projects include:
Predator detection using stereo thermal and structured light sensors.
Autonomously navigating native forests, carrying equipment using quadcopters and quadrupeds.
Mapping forest resources using camera and lidar sensors.
Detecting edible plants for robotic harvesting.
